COVID-19 Management Plan

The guidelines below align with current local, state, and national legislation, including guidance and best practices from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH), and the American College Health Association (ACHA). These guidelines are applicable to all students, staff, faculty, and visitors at 91㽶Ƶ. 

The guiding principles of this management plan are as follows: 

  • To best preserve the health and safety of the 91㽶Ƶ campus community; 
  • To maintain 91㽶Ƶ operations necessary to support mission critical activities; 
  • To ensure adaptability as the public health situation evolves; 
  • To provide robust communications in an effort to promptly disseminate information to all 91㽶Ƶ constituents, and; 
  • To encourage all members of the campus community to be involved in and responsible for doing their part to follow these guidelines. 

This management plan is effective Aug. 8, 2022, and will be updated as the public health situation evolves. 

Current 91㽶Ƶ COVID-19 Guidelines: 

1. Members of the 91㽶Ƶ campus community should practice good hygiene, including: 

a. Wash hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer, especially after touching frequently used items or high-touch surfaces; 

b. Avoid touching your face; 

c. Sneeze or cough into the inside of your elbow.

2. 91㽶Ƶ employees and students are encouraged to be vaccinated for COVID-19. The 91㽶Ƶ Health and Wellness Center (HWC) continues to offer COVID-19 testing and vaccinsations to campus at this time.

3. Individuals who feel sick or have COVID-19 symptoms should stay home and not come to 91㽶Ƶ for any reason, along with contacting and following the advice of their medical provider. 

4. It is no longer mandatory to report symptoms, cases or exposures to the HWC and students will now be asked to communicate directly with their professors/instructors regarding any necessary absence(s) following a positive test, as they would with any communicable illness. If there are any questions or concerns, contact the 91㽶Ƶ HWC at (479) 968-0329.

5. Meetings and events of any size may be conducted face-to-face.

6. Outside gatherings are not limited in size.

7. 91㽶Ƶ sanctioned domestic travel is permitted. Social distancing recommendations should be followed when possible. 

8. Monitor 91㽶Ƶ COVID-19 website, OneTech, and email for updates to the public health situation.
