Extended Stay

Do you need to arrive early before move in day OR stay on campus over winter break OR stay after the spring term is over? We have some housing options for you at affordable rates. Students needing to arrive early before the academic year starts or stay after the halls close must request extended stay.  See what we have to offer:

  • Fall Early Arrival: Arriving before the official Move-in day
  • Winter Break Housing: Staying between the end of fall and beginning of spring. It covers spring early arrival.
  • Spring Late Check Out: Staying after spring housing ends and before summer housing starts

 

 

Fall 2026 Early Arrival

Early Arrival Date & Time: 
  • Saturday, August 08, 2026 from 8am to 2pm BY APPOINTMENT
  • The early arrival application (including appointment selection) will open on the housing portal on July 07 at 10am and close on July 31 at 8pm.
Early Arrival Charge Exemption: 

Students must apply for Early Arrival whether charges are waived or not. The following students qualify for a waiver for early arrival charges:

  • Current summer residents
  • Approved groups (campus partners, LLCs) assisting with move-in on Sunday, August 16
    • Group members must contact group leader (advisor or coach) to make sure their name is on the approved list submitted to Residence Life
  • Residents participating in university functions assisting with move-in on Sunday, August 16
  • Residents with ADA Early Arrival accommodations
  • International residents
  • Student Staff working for Residence Life in some capacity
Early Arrival Rates: 
  • Residents who do not qualify for a charge exemption for early arrival will be charged the nightly rate up until August 16 which is the official move-in date and the first date of the academic year contract.
  • Charges will be calculated based on number of nights x nightly rate.

Billing:
  • If applicable, students will receive notification via email of the amount of their early arrival charge. This amount will be charged to their account the third week of August
How to Request Early Arrival:

Appointments will be required  and must be set through the housing portal.

  1. Log in the  with OneTech credentials
  2. Select Early Arrival from the menu
  3. Complete the early arrival form
  4. Select a check in appointment
Check In Instructions:
What to Bring 
    • Tech ID or government-issued photo ID   
    • Housing Confirmation email with barcode (print or picture) 
    • Refillable water bottle   
    • Moving supplies (Carts and dollies may be available in limited quantity)  
    • Personal items packed in labeled boxes or baskets. Example: John Smith M Street 533.  
 Location  
    • Doc Bryan Student Services. Enter through main doors located across Tucker Coliseum. Parking is available around the coliseum.  
 Check-In Steps 
 

STEP 1: BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

    1.  Complete Emergency Contact Form 

 The Emergency Contact Form will be available in Roompact beginning August 04 at 8am and must be completed by August 06 at noon. 

      •  Log in with your OneTech credentials at    
      • Select Forms  
      • Complete the Emergency Contact Form 

b.  Review Your Selected move-in Appointment Time.   

 To set up an appointment: 

      •  Log in the Housing Portal with 91㽶Ƶ username and password (OneTech/Housing & Dining) 
      • Select the Early Arrival Appointment option from the menu 
      • Set an appointment. An email confirmation will be sent to your 91㽶Ƶ email account.  
      • If you need to change your appointment, return to the same page, cancel the original appointment, and set a new one. 

 c. Locate your Housing Confirmation Email with barcode   

      •  Will be emailed in the afternoon of August 06 

STEP 2: CHECK IN 

    • At the time of your appointment, go to Doc Bryan Student Services Building  
    • Enter through O Street (across from Whataburger)   
    • Park in lots BB, J, or R (see parking map) 
    • Enter Doc Bryan through O Street entrance (across Tucker Coliseum) 

 STEP 3. VERIFY EMERGENCY CONTACT FORM 

    • Show housing confirmation email to staff. Students who completed the Emergency Contact Form prior to arrival may proceed directly to pick up their keys. 
    • Students who did not complete the form in advance must:   
      • Complete the form on-site using the computers provided in Doc Bryan 180 or their own phone 
      • Obtain a Verification Pass before checking in   

STEP 4. PICK UP KEYS  

    •  Go to the Residence Life office in Doc Bryan 153    
    • Turn in green pass at the front desk, if applicable   
    • Show Tech ID/Picture ID and scan email with barcode   
    • Receive keys  

STEP 5. GO TO YOUR HALL 

    • Go to your residence hall   
    • Park in the parking lot   
    • Move in your belongings. You are home! 

STEP 6. COMPLETE REQUIRED HOUSING FORMS 

Log in to  with OneTech username and password and complete the following forms by August 21, 2026 

    1. Room Damage Report
      •  Report any pre-existing room conditions immediately after move-in.  
      • Submitting accurate documentation helps prevent unnecessary damage charges during move-out.
    2. Roommate Agreement 
      • This form helps roommates discuss expectations and establish shared guidelines for living together successfully. 

ARRIVING AFTER 2PM ON AUGUST 08, 2026 

    • Arriving after hours and weekends: Go to your hall and call RA on duty (number posted on the door) 
    • Arriving Monday to Friday, 8am to 5:00pm: Go to the Residence Life office in Doc Bryan 153 
    • Make sure to verify your emergency contact form, complete the Room Damage Report form and the Roommate Agreement form by August 21. 

 ARRIVING BEFORE august 08, 2026 

    • Arriving before August 08 may cause you to incur summer housing charges. Contact housing@atu.edu to check on your case. Charges may apply 
    • Make sure to verify your emergency contact form, complete the Room Damage Report form and the Roommate Agreement form by August 21. 
 Meal Plans: 
  • Fall 2026 meal plans start August 16 with lunch. Before that students will be able to purchase meals at the cafeteria.
